The Dukes Head is a lovely family run pub/ restaurant/ hotel tuated in the lea of the picturesque North Downs in Surrey, three miles from the old market town of Dorking. This former coaching inn boasts roaring open fires, a 60 seat restaurant and well appointed letting rooms, all within easy reach of the M25 and Gatwick Airport. We offer a full menu for both lunch and dinner, full English breakfast available uypon request. We are now taking function bookings for the festive season. We are a no-smoking hotel. Well behaved pets are welcome at a supplement of £10.00 per pet per night. (Dogs are welcome in the bar but not in the restaurant). Please state your preference when booking if you would like a rear facing room as some of the rooms are road facing. Please also note that some of our rooms are reduced in price as they are above the bar and subject to limited bar noise during serving hours only. The Ambers Guest House Gatwick is ideally located just 5 minutes drive from London Gatwick airport, in the town of Horley. Central London is just 30 minutes away on the Gatwick Express or 45 minutes by commuter train from Horley. Although The Ambers Guest House is so close to Gatwick Airport, it is not under the flight path therefore air craft noise is not a problem as the Guest House is situated on a quiet side road. The Guest House is situated near the centre of Horley with 17 guest rooms ranging from single, twin, double and family rooms all with en-suite bath rooms. The guest house has recently been refurbished to an extremely high standard, and offers all the facilities you would expect including tea & coffee making facilities, confectionaries, colour televisions in all rooms with free wi-fi connection. An ironing board, hairdryers, cots and many other services are available on request. We pride ourselves on offering you a warm welcome, be it for one night or longer, and on making sure your stay with us is stress-free. We provide airport transfers (time restrictions apply) and a free full English breakfast in the price (between 7.30am and 10.00am. Large, varied continental breakfast available outside of these hours). The Ambers Bed & Breakfast can also accommodate parking on site for when you are away, at very reasonable rates. Cumberland House is 2 miles (3.2 km) from London Gatwick Airport and has a free shuttle service from the airport to Cumberland House between 05:00 & midnight and from Cumberland House to Gatwick 24/7. London Victoria in 45 minutes away by commuter train, and 30 minutes away by Gatwick Express. At Cumberland House we can pre-book entry tickets for you, to all the Top Attractions in London. We can also organise day tours by bus around Central London, to Stonehenge, Oxford, Edinburgh, Lake District and many more places of interest. Cumberland House is entirely non-smoking. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the B&B. Full English breakfast is served from 06:45 until 09:30. Self-service continental breakfast is available if leaving before 06:45. Ample Overnight parking (free) Long Stay Parking is also available (additional cost). Ye Old Six Bells pub is a short walk from Cumberland House and has lunch and evening meals.
